Guys, this is my 2 cents worth. I feel that as individuals we are really fighting hard and scoring good goals but I would like to highlight a few points (Most of which I am guilty of):
1) Communication: I feel that as a team we can begin to communicate more often with each other on the pitch. The whole team needs to link up and warning each other of being man mark or asking someone to pick up a free man is extremely crucial. I've been guilty of letting my head drop when the odds are against us but i will improve on this and hope the rest would really encourage each other and show lots of fighting spirit. We showed plenty of that against Catalans.
2) Passing: I feel t hat we should always pick the easier option and pass to the more accessible teammate. Audacious passes and long balls can be used to relieve pressure but in order to tire opponents out, we have t o keep possession, When someone calls for a pass it is not necessary that you must pass it to that player. Use him as a decoy and go for the better option.
3) Off the ball running: Always open up and give your teammates options.
4) Don't be afraid to pass back or take an extra touch. If you get caught in possession while holding onto the ball, it’s more of your teammates fault for not warning you. If you need to beat a man, do so only when its safe and if you are extremely confident. If you lose the ball in such a manner, it is your responsibility to try and gain back possession.
5) The attackers (midfield and strikers) have to take more shots. If you are in box, you have the license to shoot. A deflection may be kind to you and you never know. These are just my thoughts and opinions. We can learn as a team, spur each other on and win games playing decent football. We are a young team and time is on my side. See you guys on Sunday, have a good half a week ahead
