Hi fellas...its been awhile..finally found time to start the website rolling again.pls visit the site more often and leave positive comments on the cbox.

Finally the much awaited first win of the season.A very Tottenham like start to the season has seen us only take 4pts from a possible 18pts.But todays performance against Marine Devils was a great morale booster and has come at the perfect time for us to pick up our season.We have 8 games remaining and i'm setting an ambitious but realistic target of achieving 18pts which would mean tt we gotta win atleast 4 games and draw 2games.The league is still very much open and with a couple of victories we've got a good chance of finishing 3rd.Ttz the boards expectation for the season.

Our next Opponents will be Marine Devils again on 22/3.We should seriously secure our second win against them.We are still yet to face the juggernauts of the league 2xTorpedo FC and the other strong team Redevouz FC whom we lose to 5-3.So other than this 3 games we should have no excuse against the rest of the teams whom i think we should be able to take on and get results.So pls show the same desire shown today and i'm sure as a team we will change the fortunes and end the season on a high.

Guys after a series of undeserved defeat today we witnessed a well played and deserving victory over what was a relatively strong team on paper..Infact the scoreline of 6-2 was flattering for the opponents.With the number of wrong offside calls and other major bad decisions by the non existent referee the margin should have been much greater..First i would like to congratulate each and everyone that played coz today victory everyone played a major role..Special Praise for Siva who helped himself to 3 assist, Vijay for a well taken hatrick, Anand for his man of the match performance, Vino for making fantastic saves in the first half and watching the magic show during the second and Abi for his outfield debut goal and lasting almost 90mins..Best goal will have to be given to anand's drive from a brilliant setup by Siva..Vish opening his account after a dry spell this season with a well placed acute shot after rounding the keeper which hopefully will boost his confidence for the upcoming games..Raji looking sharp and slowly getting on with his galloping runs down the centre..Dinesh, Naga and Pream for a solid defensive display not giving the opponents any time on the ball at all..Keerthi dishing out a solid performance after his 21km run.Simply Unbelievable..It was a game of 2 halves and he truly played with class and attitude..As Vino mentioned can we start playing like we did today..Haha..Anyways today was a fruitful outing considering the team being severely understrength and of course the free food..Too bad Vino and Pream missed it..Ok guys thumbs up and lets carry this morale boosting form into our next game..visit the blog more often and drop more positive comments..Good to see more names on the cbox.I'll text u'll regarding the MdIS league tomorrow so those committing pls keep $30 ready..Ok fellas have a gr8 week..

Hi Bangers..This week game will be an invitational friendly.The venue is at the new Sports Hub in Bishan which is opposite Catholic High School.A big thank you to Dinesh for getting us the priviledge of kickstarting the SportsHub at Bishan..Those who dunno how to go meet at Bishan at 8am..If not get there straight by 8.30am..Guys take note pls dun be late as this is an official event..There'll be minister GOHs and media coverage.So understand that the teams image will be put under test.Another important point to note will be pls adorn full kit.Blue Jersey Black Shorts and Black Socks..Most important is the Shorts coz socks can close one eye..So i hope to see all in black shorts at the least.The game commences at 9am sharp so lets not complicate matters.Also i'll take attendance for those who'll be committing for the MDIS league.So far theres abt 10 interested and afew yet to confirm.We'll be going ahead with the idea nevertheless so that the rhythm of the team is not affected.Those unable to commit just pay by match and the money will just be accumulated for next AFL season.Those who havent replied my sms pls do asap or leave a comment on the blog.Thanks.See ya on Sunday boys.

Guys as we'll know the squad is becoming rather thin due to some of our players not being able to commit due to personal and other reasons like serving the nation..Hence we as a team shall be on the look out for talent and recruit immediately when we spot one..Pls feel free to bring down any player who u think will be of good use to the team or give me a lead and i shall act on it..Doesnt have to be a fantastic player..Someone decent and team oriented will be sufficient..I hope all will help me out coz we need to bring our numbers up to 20 atleast.Doesnt necessarily have to be indian but will be better if it is coz we're all tamilan unless they dun mind..Take note we need a striker badly and a defensive player as well..But all others are welcome..The more the merrier..Our scouts are hovering over Shooters FC and we'll make a formal bid to team manager murali when the time is rite..haha..ok so guys keep a look out and join in the recruitment..thanks.

Guys as we all know our league is coming to an end in september and it only resumes in January according to my close sources..I truly believe that if we're gonna be engaging in friendly for 3 months it'll not get us anywhere..So i'm in negotiation with the organisers of the MDIS league which began last week..there is a possibility that we can be added as the last team if i can give them a positive reply by end of the week..Now i shall give u'll the details of the league..its an amateur league consisting of 7 teams..We'll get 12 games and trophy if we're top 3..No cash prize because of the low fees..Games will be held on either sat or sun at 3pm..Ok assuming all of you'll commit it will be abt 60 per person for 12games.($5 a game).If there is any additional money vish will accumulate for our AFL 09 season.From what i've spoken with the organiser the best payment option is two installments so i will be able to collect $30 first and another $30 later on..the league will stretch til late Nov probably just in time for us to go back to AFL in january..Ok now i need some response from you'll so that i can make a decision asap and secure the place..Just leave a comment under this post..To make things simple those who cant commit but can come for some games pls pay vishnu or myself $8 per game.Those who commit enjoy the rate of $5 per game..Ok firstly i just want to know the response from u fellas..If ya think its not worth it and friendly is a better option feel free to express your views.Once atleast 12 players are positive i'll proceed with the arrangements..I need an answer by Sat so act fast boys..Thanks.

Hi guys.Firstly the good news is tt Rajesh is back and this time for a long spell and hopefully without the belly..Secondly our next league game is only on the 17th of August @Bendermeer Sec..I'll try my best to see if i can push for one on the 10th.But pls understand tt we've played a couple of games more than the rest of the teams hence its our turn to miss some games..But dun worry most likely there'll be a friendly on the 10th if there's no league game..As for this week it shall be a break for us..Also all pls remember to bring $5 for the soccer balls that kathi has bought.After reimbursing him if theres remainder it will go into the funds..Kathi has put in effort to go get the balls so Lets not make it difficult for him and bring down the money during our next game..Pls also take note tt the league should be coming to an end in sept and resuming back in oct so those who have difficulty paying for next season i suggest u start saving some money now itself or start paying vishnu in installments and he'll help keep track.The amt will be confirmed once we know our final league position and the turnout for next season.As for those who came for training a big thumbs up to you'll.It was a good workout and hope we can hold more of such sessions..The rest who didnt turn up pls try harder to come in future coz the sessions really help build our teamwork and cohesion..So for those who have been starved of the saturday nightlife fever pls go and booze til you burst this weekend coz u dont get this opportunity often..Cheers and see you'll real soon..

H guys, there will not be a game this week. Instead, we will have a training and kickabout session at Da Qiao Primary School. We shall start at around 0830 and I hope everyone will make an effort to make it down. The exact address of the school would be 8, Ang Mo Kio Street 54. Singapore 569185. Feel free to contact me (Kathir) if you need any help with directions. I'm unable to replicate the location map here but if you can input the above postal code on this website, http://www.map.gov.sg/StreetMap/, you will be able to get an exact location. I will be purchasing the footballs soon and i hope you guys can chip in around $5 bucks a person for them. Do bring this amount on Sunday. During training, we will try to carry out the following exercises:

-5-aside match focusing only on keeping possession
-Defence Vs Attack (We will use half the field for this)
-Some set pieces (Especially corners)

On top of this, we can even have some shooting practice to warm up. Do feel free to add on to this if you have other ideas/methods that can help us improve our game. Do bring down the yellow jersey (as well as the blue one) if you have it. We can use this to differentiate the attacking players from the defensive.

League Game 9: AAR

League game 9 produced our 2nd defeat on the trot and once again we went down conceding 5. Well done on clawing back into the game to tie it up at 2-2 despite going in at half time 2 down. However, it was always going to be difficult to keep the morale up and keep fighting after conceding a 3rd goal. And when that happened, it was downhill all the way. We lost our shape and TLFC capitalized on that. We certainly need to mature as team and learn how to keep our shape and concentration for as long as possible. We were rather quiet on the pitch and lets hope that in the future, we communicate more. Communication would mean warning each other of dangers, motivation and giving constant pointers on what needs to be done on the pitch. Let's not hope for telepathy and let's continue working as a team. There should not be a game next week but instead there will be a training/kickabout at Da Jiao Primary School in Ang Mo Kio. It is a free to use pitch, comes with primary school goal post and the last time I saw it, the pitch was in really good condition. I hope many would turn up as this would be a good opportunity to work on our play. We will be focusing on keeping our shape and we will work on our short passing. The school is only 3 bus stops away from Ang Mo Kio MRT and I am more than willing to provide a shuttle service from the station. I will send out text messages sometime this week to gain some feedback as to how many are interested. Oh, and as you may have noticed, we are severely lacking footballs. We've lost 2 superb mikasa balls and 1 molten ball. We are only left with 2. Would you guys mind perhaps chipping in around 5 bucks a person to purchase some (foot)balls? League Game 8: AAR

League game 8 for this season ending up being a resounding defeat. 5-0 to Torpedo Rovers. The score doesn't lie and the better team won and rightly so. There is no need or use pointing fingers and I believe just like how we agreed that we won the last three games as a team, we lost this one as a team as well. The areas for improvement still remain the same so let's continue improving on them and not let this defeat be a downer. There are so many teams out there who are much better than us and we need to learn from them and just push on. No hard feelings from the game i hope, if there are any, please flush them out from your system the moment the game ends and you leave the venue. I think Naga put everything into perspective perfectly so do take a look at his comments in the Cbox. I am all for what he is trying to ask and put across. Please leave a comment on your thoughts and areas of improvements under this post. Win, lose or draw, we are a team and i guess we have to stick together. Don't let your head drop when we are down and keeping pushing on.

P.S: I maybe out for a few weeks as I feel that i may have aggravated my foot injury from the past during this game. It was careless on my part to challenge blindly for the ball and I hope the rest take care of your health and remain injury free.

Also, do take note that Sakthi will be going away to Brisbane, Australia to pursue his studies on Friday. I would like to sincerely commend his commitment towards the team every week. I don't even have to ask him if he will be coming down for the matches every week because it always is a resounding "Hell yeah, mate!". He has turned up for all the games this season and has been working really hard in every game. All the best to you Sakthi and we'll definitely miss your presence every week. I guess you can redeem your MOM award for your outstanding effort against Tusser earlier in the season before you fly off. I'll never forget that 50 meter dash and lunge that almost earned you an early shower. Take care, buddy!

Hope everyone received the notice about the game on Sunday. We now have 13 players who have confirmed their attendance. Anymore? As captain said, we're looking for around 15 players. It would better our chances to go for a 4th win on the trot. Also, let's not upset the Gaff. He loathes poor attendance. He breathes football and cant stand a lack of enthusiasm for what he calls and strongly believes is, "the national game of Algeria". I'm not ready for his dreaded vacuum cleaner treatment should we slip up.

After the pain and agony associated with not living up to expectations year after year, Spain have finally stamped their name in international football with the Euro 2008 crown. Their passing throughout the tournament has been slick and they've played football with the right, positive attitude. But, were they worthy champions? Did they really play the best football among all the 16 nations (17, if you still thought somehow that England were competing) ? The La Selección did, afterall, win the title with players from "lowly" teams such as Valencia, Villarreal, Mallorca and to please you Mancs out there, Liverpool. Does that make Spain "averagely" good? Whatever it is, Spain are the Champions of Europe and I'm just glad it didn't turn out to be a farce that was Euro 2004.

League Game 7: Match Report

In contrast to last week, the weather greeted us with scorching hot temperatures coupled with surprising morning humidity this time around. Well done to everyone for keeping away from your own weird rain rituals and bringing about the sunshine. We picked up our thrid win on the trot against a rather hardworking Team AMK FC and in doing so, scoring 3 and keeping our first clean sheet of the season (and a little beyond into last season as well). Our performance was a very collective hardworking one but I personally felt that we were dodgey, nervous and rather tired for long periods of the match. It was a good performance but I'm sure many would agree that a performance of this level will probably warrant a mauling from a team higher up in the table. I shall put that down to perhaps the break last week. The weather certainly didnt help us either. I was dead by half time and was basically clinging on for dear life. Special mention to the gaffer for keeping the team fresh and managing the substitutions and tactics from the sidelines. Switching to 4-5-1 for the last 10 minutes was a good touch. Very well taken goals by Murali and Vijay. Just a few observations from behind that I would like to add. I urge everyone to leave a comment to add on to what is being discussed here. Very pleased with the fullbacks and wingers today. Very good communication and i can see the effort in trying to help one another out. However, there were instances where both the winger and fullback pusched up and left a gaping hole behind. Many a times we were exploited in this area. Perhaps you guys can come up with your own system within the flanks where should the fullback push up, then the winger slots back into the hole or you can always call out to the centre backs to shift. On my part, I will try my best to organise the defence to fill up these spaces but I still hope that the passing and movement when the wingers and fullbacks attack will be tighter and more decisive. Try your best to play safe passes especially when you know that you are taking a risk by pushing high up the pitch. Do not hesitate to put in early balls into the box. Have confidence in your own ability and try to create chances for the strikers. The third goal was created by Siva, who is a right back, and this shows the importance of quality crosses into the box. Strikers, please make an effort to challenge for every ball. I would suggest discussing before the match with the wingers as to how you want the balls played in. Do you want low crosses? Deep crosses? Cut backs? Also have a system with your strike partner. For example, one can attack the near post and the other can peel away to the edge of the box to pick up any loose balls. When you do get the ball in the box, try your best to get a shot on target. Avoid beating players when there isnt a need to. You always have your centre midfielders to whom you can pass to. Centre midfielders, please take more shots where the opportunities arise. I dont think we tested the keeper enough today. Also try and spread the play more to the wings so as to stretch the opponents and free yourself of makers. And lastly, I will try to improve my communication with my centreback partner and also devise a proper system of playing the offside trap. A lapse between me and Pream almost caused us to concede an early goal and had that gone in, it would have been a different story all together. They seemed very capable of defending a lead for 90 minutes. Vinod, outstanding save from the penalty! Guys, it was a credible win nontheless and lets work harder in the next game to notch up another win. We will be playing the same team again ( dont't ask me why) but at Serangoon Sec this time. Let's continue working as a team and help each other out. Advice your teamates on areas they have to improve. Anand, for example, approached me after the game and adviced me to maintain my cool on the pitch and not end up being a liability to the team by getting myself sent off. Point certainly noted and I will work hard on this area. Similarly, I urge the rest to feel free to go up to one another and hand out similar pointers. Have a great week ahead boys, rest well, get some milage under your belt for your own fitness and most importantly, take care of your own health. Cheers! Oh, and lets work on our punctuality as well!

Hi guys, Sunday is approaching again and after the disappointment of the canceled game last week, I urge everyone to not perform anymore rain rituals and pray for clear skies this time around. We will be up against Team AMK, 9am at Canberra Sec. Do contact the relevant people if you need a lift. I think most of us will be familiar with this venue. It was where we picked up our first win of the season against CUFC. Try to be there by 0830, change up and we shall try to warm up together and discuss how we're going to line up. We have never played this team before and hence we need to be cautious. I guess we will have to adapt as the match wears on but nonetheless, I will discuss with the captain and we will let the team know how we will shape up on the match day itself. As ever, rest early the night before and hydrate yourself well. See you on Sunday guys!

Its the weekend again and its AFL action again. This was a last minute fixture and hence really sorry about the last minute activation. We're hoping for a good turnout and as it stands, Keerthi is the only unavailable player. I hope all those who have given your word do indeed come down. Players who have been coming down regularly and have been putting in good performances will be given priority at the gaffer's discretion. We have to be fair to those showing commitment. The response for the initial friendly was extremely poor and while I do understand that many have other commitments on a Sunday evening, I hope everyone treats these friendly games seriously. We need to play more often together and friendlies will always remain an integral part of the learning process. Its alright if we get thrashed, as long as we learn something from it.
This week we will be playing Marine Devils FC (return "home" fixture), a team that we lost to 2-0 at Serangoon Sec a few games back. We have played this team 3 times in total (and have lost all 3) and by now I hope all of us understand their style of play. We know who their key players are and I would urge everyone to be ready at the pitch by 830 tomorrow so that we can discuss how we are going to approach the game. Attendance will be taken. They are a hardworking, organized team and we have to be disciplined for the whole 90 minutes. That simply means stick to your position and work with and along with your team mates. We are capable of beating them and anything less than a win tomorrow will be unacceptable. Guys, have a good rest tonight and hydrate yourself well. We will meet at the pitch tomorrow.

Hi guys, Kathir here and I'd like to make some announcements. I'll split this post into 2 bits. Firstly, I'll touch on some admin matters on behalf of the gaffer and prem. The gaffer being Abi of course. Then i'll go on to some issues regarding our football. I'd like to invite everyone to leave a comment below this post or in the comment box. Feel free to say anything and everything about what is to be announced. So here goes...
Off the pitch:
As you may have already noticed, I have attained the password to the blog and re-arranged the site a little and updated it. Please orientate yourself to this slightly new layout and let me know if it sucks. I've placed the fixtures and results list at the end of the page and have also placed the league table at the side. I will help prem to update this as often as required. There's is also a link to the AFL site right above the league table. Next, prem has assigned abi and myself to be the ones to inform everyone about the games everyweek. You will receive a text message from us and all you have to do is to let us know whether you can make it or not. If you do say yes, please make sure you turn up as promised. Abi will take attendance for all games and those who fail to turn up despite giving your word and/or without a valid reason will have your playing time reduced in the next match. Abi will see to this. There are no superstars in the team and to be quite honest, we all agree that this has become quite a prevalent problem. This rule of regular attendance for matches applies for friendlies and league matches. Prem has also appointed Vishnu as the new treasurer. All friendly games will cost $10 bucks a person. The excess amount will go into the team fund (which will be kept by Vishnu) and be used to fund the consecutive season(s). Abi will once again take attendance for these friendlies and those who dont turn up enough will not gain the benefit of having to pay less for the the following season's registration. Abi, Vishnu, Prem and myself will all keep accounts and I will undertake the responsibility of posting the accounts on the website every month. Those who have not paid for this season, PLEASE DO SO ASAP. You will only receive a free jersey if you are paying the full amount of $110. Those who don't pay the full amount, can purchase a spare jersey for $20 or loan a jersey everyweek (You must return it to me after every game). This is to maintain fairness to all those who have paid the full amount. As it stands, Ezek, Lavin, Praga are yet to pay half a season's registration fee. All three will also have to pay for your jerseys (if you do want to buy one). Vijay is yet to pay the full amount. When these payments are settled, the team fund will have around $150 to $200. I will confirm this once all payments have been settled. A big thank you to all the rest who have paid up.
On the pitch:
A few things regarding our football. I urge everyone to turn up early before every game so that we can conduct a little team warm up. We can do about 4 slow jogs across the breath of the field and then proceed to stretch. During this, Abi and Prem can name the team and pass instructions regarding how we're going to approach the game. Finally let me state my 5 cents worth regarding what I observed on the pitch over the last 2-3 games. As I've said, there are no superstars in this team and therefore please correct me if I am wrong. We are all friends and we should never take things personally. Learn from one another and improve as a team.
1) Wingers and fullbacks: I've mentioned this alot of times. The importance of wingers and fullbacks and working together. I urge the wingers to communicate with your fullbacks and take responsibility for your flanks. Work together to keep the opponents wingers quiet and limit the amount of crosses and diagonal balls coming into the penalty area. Attack together and defend together. When defending, fullbacks please call out to your wingers to come and help. When we're defending, the defense will shift towards the the flank from which the opponents are attacking. For example, lets say rethish's right flank is being attacked. The four defenders will all shift towards rethish's flank. Naga's left flank is bound to be left empty and the opposition winger will most likely slot into this space and try to receive a through ball or diagonal ball from rethish's flank. We will get caught if this happens. There fore, it is naga's duty to call out to prashant (the left winger) to slot into this empty space and mark the opposition winger if need be. I really hope that the wingers will be responsible enough to not leave your fullbacks exposed. Let's work on this part. The centre backs will guide you guys, so dont worry. Just keep this in mind.
2) Centre Midfielders: There were quite a few instances of the centre midfielders losing the balls in crucial areas over the last few games. This is very dangerous. I urge centre midfielders to try and reduce this. Try to not beat players in the centre of the field, unless it means that after that you will be able to make a crucial pass or move. Always go for the simpler option. Use your wingers, use the centre backs. As a rule of thumb, do not attempt to beat players in our half. It is perfectly alright to play the ball back and relieve yourself of pressure. Do trust your team mates. Similarly, i would like all the defenders (including myself) to brush up on your first touch. If under pressure, learn to put the ball away. Play it out or towards the wingers. NEVER ACROSS THE BOX OR ACROSS THE CENTRE OF THE PITCH. It was my hesitancy to put the ball away that caused the goal against kampong and I will improve on that.
3) Communication: Very simply, talk to one another. dont expect telepathy. Impose authority on the players around you and tell them what to do. I dont see the strikers talking to each other or the midfielders talking to one another. I must, however, commend the wingers and fullbacks. They seem to be doing the most talking. The rest of us must not be afraid to talk to one another and learn to leave whatever is said on the pitch.
4)Releasing the ball: I observed the strikers making alot of runs and creating spaces in the last game. However, the rest of us failed to release the ball early and many times blamed the strikers for being offside. Do remember its a two way thing. The moment the strikers ask for the ball, release it as soon as possible. Strikers, time your run and ask for the ball. I was guilty of not doing that on sunday and I will improve on that. Another thing that the strikers can work on is , as prem mentioned, working together to pressure the forwards. Never give defenders alot of time. There were many passes from the opposition full backs that almost caught us out. Please pressure them into playing the balls early so that they wont be that accurate.

These were just some thoughts that I hope we can work on for now. As we go, I will gather feedbacks and help prem to make posts regarding such matters. Please add on guys! Guys this week the new season commences on sunday 9am @ Tanjong Katong Sec..Its near paya lebar mrt..Some of u'll will remember the first game against kampong at that location..Pls bring along ur green kit..I still havent decide on whether we're gonna use the new kit as yet..Anyways the first game is against Torpedo who look rather good on paper after an impressive 2nd place finish in the premier division..So this is definitely gonna be a cracking game..And to add to kawabangers woes we have a few players on international duty..Keys players Vish,Lavin and Keerthi are overseas and will take no part in this fixture.So our squad is rather thin and i expect the rest of the squad to turn up..Another important thing is pls be early so that we can distribute the new kit to u'll..As for those who havent pay yet pls do so by latest May 1..Take note jerseys will only be given to u if u have paid the full fees.We will be welcoming our two new signings for this season..Murali formerly from SJI and CJ who will provide the much needed Centre Mid cover and Jraj who is joining us on dual club pass from Kamikaze will be deputising at left back in the absence of Mahendran for this season..We are looking to secure another two signings before the close of the transfer window..Hopefully the team will be back to full strength by the 18th of May by when i expect all exams,international duties and other committments to be over..So esp for this game we need to work our sock out to drind out a result..So its time to Kawabang again boys..See you'll on sunday..Transportation pls aliase with the usual fellas..

Good day fellas..Firstly i would like to wish all the uni dudes best of luck in their upcoming exams..Friendly will resume next week due to these boys mugging away...Hopefully the two week break would have given u'll a breather and done the legs some good..Ok now as for the new season..Tentatively the first game is on the 4th May..Ok as u'll know i had fixed the rate at $110 taking into account the total no. of games as 14 for the seaon..But latest updates from the FA has reached me indicating tt the new premier division is gonna have 9teams which means 16 games in total..tt also means more $$...ok in order not to complicate matters u guys pls transfer the 110 asap..the balance i'll negotiate with the organiser for extension.which i'll collect at a later part of the season..Ok eventually u'll will pay ard $130 for 16games which is abt $8 per game..Ok now some good news..After some persistence i've managed to convince someone to sponsor us a new kit for us..Detail of sponsor will be released after confirmation of the deal..The new kit will carry the team name as well as ur name..If all goes well the kit should be launched on Apr 28..Ok now fellas this is the important part..The jersey will only reach those who have made full payment for the league or on case by case basis if u arent able to pay full due to acceptable reasons..This is to be fair to those who commit their time and money to keep the team going..The jersey will also act as an incentive for u guys to committ and pay for the league i hope..So think abt it for $130 u get a free new kit and 16 games..sounds like a good deal i think..Ok the deadline for payment is Apr 30 which coincidentally falls on the day we get the gst shares..So those with tight budget try to allocate some money from there for the team..I hope u'll understand that without everyone's cooperation this team is gonna struggle esp financially..I'm doing my part to get u'll a good deal for your money and i sincerely hope you fellas will make prompt payments..A few more things to add..Next season is gonna be very tough coz the premier division consist teams of much higher calibre than the likes of Mustang and Merida..So i need u'll to show ur committment and we must stay strong as a unit..Its not gonna be easy but i'm sure it'll be a fun ride..I need some of you guys to confirm your committments with me..Namely Karthik,Mahen and Ezek..You guys are definitely the core of the team and its gonna be an uphill task without u'll..So pls try to commit.As usual if any of you think u'll got any friends who'll be committed and essential to the team pls bring them down..Ok guys post is getting abit lengthy so i'll end here..look out for more updates on the website..Take care..KAWABANGA!!

Hi guys..This season has seen Kawabanga improve tremendously and we are fast becoming a force to be reckon in the soccer arena in Singapore..The name Kawabanga seems to be creating a certain fear in the eyes of opponent teams.Very proud of the teams recent rise in form and solid performances..The team is shaping up really well and we're coming to the end of a good season..The last game will be on April 6th which will decide whether we clinch runners up.But whatever the result this is a season that we can be really proud of..New signings Anand and Vijay have been a major boost to the side giving us the cutting edge which was previously missed..The pre season period in April will see us put our abilities to test against some strong opponents to prepare us for the premier division next year..I sincerely hope u'll will be dedicated and come down for all friendlies.I understand that paying can be abit problematic but we all got to understand its a team effort so everyone must put in the effort..If the attendance is poor the friendlies isnt gonna serve any purpose.So hope u'll will cooperate..As for the new kit discussion is still underway and i will personally take a vote in the next game..We will decide based on the response..For the new season i'll be trying to bring in one or two new faces to improve the squad..So any of u'll got any friends that u thiNk are in the mould of vijay and anand pls feel free to bring them for the friendlies..Ok now the tough part..The new season will commence on May 4th..And i need to start collecting money asap because the organiser has given me time til mid april..I'll be collecting the money on April 6 during our last game..Pls dun delay coz i think this is already a very advanced notice so try to get the money ready soon guys..Any problems with finance pls let me know personally and i'll try to work something out..I'll be collecting 110-120..The confirmed amount i will msg u'll by end of the week..The slight increase from 90 last season is because..We still owe the organiser money for the Mustang game and the Campaign game which ended up as a friendly..Plus this season not all of u paid 90 coz some of u'll claimed that u'll might not come down regularly..Please be abit flexible coz there is no way i can collect exact amt if there are some complications..If there is any access amount it will go to jersey fund or will be invested in getting new balls..As for those who cant commit fully try to pay first and if there is excess amount u'll be reimbursed accordingly..If i have to cater to everyones needs its gonna be a real headache for me so understand..We are really coming well together as a team and lets not let the financial side weigh us down..I'm sure u'll will agree that for the money u'll payed this season its was worth it and all got ample playing time..In the mean while i'll source out for sponsors to lighten ur load and if anyone can help on this matter pls approach me asap..Any comments or feedback feel free to voice out guys.Thanks for all the cooperation guys.Lets take this team to the next level..Take care and have a great week ahead..

Guys next game against CUFC..Woodlands Ring Sec 11am..Wear green.Pls show me more committment guys..By now it should be a norm that sunday mornings are set aside for the team..Unless u got something unavoidable..Pls dont have the mentality tt it only u tt is not coming so its not gonna affect anything..Everyone counts and every game is important..So i hope the attendance will start improving..Esp next game is crucial for our title hope..A victory here will put us in the driving seat and give us the opportunity to be able to dictate the end result of the league..Basically things will be in our own hands if we win..CUFC who we lost to previously are definitely the best team in the league..Well organised and unforgiving..So we gotta be up for the challenge..After todays scare of a walkover lets learn from that and make sure everyone is at the pitch b4 the given time in future..If u're being fetched pls dont be late as it will delay the whole jingbang..Those fetching pls aid me in ensuring that those under u are on time and tt u guys at the most dont reach anything later than 10mins from match time..After much debate i've managed to convince the organiser to give us a rematch but he has strictly stated that our team has to bear cost for the game..If i'm gonna leave it to him to arrange we going to end up paying $160..So i'm gonna do the arranging of the field and ref which will cost ard $100-$120..So we all gotta take responsibilty and fork out ard 7 or 8 per person..So guys pls understand that this season we are in a much more convincing postition to win the championship and i dont want attendance or latecoming to cost us our glory..So A lil more committments on sunday mornings from all of us will do the trick.Hope to see u'll next sun and do what we do best..KAWABANG!!

Guys next game is at kranji sec at 11am..wear green..The opponents are unknown but looking at past results they dont look a major threat.But still there is no room for complacency..If u noticed the league standings we have a good chance to topple CUFC from the summit if we win our remaining 6games.A victory in the next game will leave us three pts behind the leaders..We are yet to face Mustang(x2) East Horizon(x2) CUFC(x1) Merida(x1)..I'm setting a target of 16pts from the remaining 18 that's up for grabs.So the target for this season is to end with 30 pts..So this weeks game is a must win and i hope the attendance will 'be good.the title might be decided next weekend if we fail to beat CUFC but lets concentrate on this weeks game first..So far we have scored 29 goals which is the best in the league but we have also conceded 20 goals.Despite the healthy goal difference i'm worried by the leakage at the back..So going into this game the priority is a cleansheet..Not only the defence but everyone has to work for it..Compared to the same time last season we are in a much better position now..So kudos boys for the improvement..See ya'll on sunday..Those needing a lift either alias with kathi or head down to admiralty station by 10.15 and Doc will pick u'll up..Also those unable to attend pls leave me a msg or tag on the board.

Match Review:

Firstly i would like to congratulate the team on this massive performance.The game started off with a 9men kawabanga against what looked like a full strength Dunman army.As usual the team has been letdown by attendance trouble but that didnt deter the bangers from dishing out what was asked of them..Kawabanga striked early despite the numeric disadvantage..A hopeful looking long ball by Vishnu was met deftly by the on form Vijay who rippled the back of the net with a well taken strike to the shock of the opponents.With only 5 league games vijay has belted in a whopping 9 goals leading the charts this season..With the 2 more players coming in after 10mins kawabangers looked lethal throughout the park until dunman had a stoke of luck when naga seemed to be cynically fouled in the area but play was waved on for dunman to have a crack at an empty goal..Despite ryan's worldclass save the inevitable happend as the rebound was met by a dunman head much to the dismay of the bangers..That signalled dunman's intentions..They were ready to go to all extent to get a result here.Kawabangers looked a little shaky until Anand calmed the nerves with a well taken goal after a rampaging run met with a pass by kathir..Kawabangers were once again in the driving seat and waves of attack followed.A bizzare goal followed...Kathir thumping freekick was awkwardly fumbled into goal by the keeper and the scoreline stood at 3-1.Vijay as usual a menacing threat wreacked havoc in the dunman box before squaring the ball to vishnu who needed more than a touch to control but the finish was precise..After taking some stick for his barren spell infront of goal of late Vishnu answered his critics with a composed finish and a overall solid display.With the scoreline at 4-1 at halftime the game looked all but over..But words of caution were heard from the Kawabanga camp knowing that dunman will be going all out to get back into the game...And spot on it was..Dunman came out stronger and had a plan on their mind.Dunman attacks came strongly from their right flank though their best player for majority of the second half..Kawabangers now had to show a different side to their game..They needed to calm things down and get control of the game..Losing the plot now would shatter the Kawabanga faithfuls..While holding the game well kawabanga managed numerous numbers of chances which would have put the game beyond doubt..Dunman should count themselve lucky that the scoreline remained..A Dunman attack down the right flank caused confusion and some lack of concentration and poor midfield gave the opponents a gimmer of hope..But by then the bangers knew just what to do..They had to close the game and bag the 3points..And thats exactly wad they did.Second half summed up bore encounter looking from a footballing prospect but for the kawabangers it was a job well down.Overall it was a brilliant effort from all the boys who gave 100%.A good learning experience for the team on how to close the game when necessary and excellently executed..Other than the freak sending off Naga it was one of kawabangers most disciplined games..And kudos the the bangers for not breaking under pressure despite constantly being numerically disadvantaged..Hope to see repeat of such exhilarating performances in future..

Ok boys this is gonna be fun..Ok if i'm gonna commentate every goal i thiNk it'll be neverending..So briefly..Vijay who has been giving MOM performance week in week out once again was spot on adding another 4goals bringing his league total to 8..Effortlessly topping the charts..A real livewire who has turned the kawabangers attack into a force to be reckon..Botak lavin proved critics wrong abt his long lay off by adding 2 to his name..typical poachers finishes..His non-stop running constantly made life difficult for meirda..One of our new players Naren, well known for his abilities, was part of almost all the attack and earns the MVP for this week..Doc and Naren combined countless no. of times to tear the meirda defence apart..If not for their hesitation to finish chances the scoreline could have gotten far more embarrasing for the opponents..Siva seems to be getting back to his best after a confident performace down the right..Mahen,Rethish and Dinesh were also in good form forming a safe backline together with keerthi and sree..It was so transparent that both goals conceded were blatant offside..But kudos to the defence for keeping the meirda strikers quiet for almost the entire game..Amrish helped himself to a penalty goal after standing in goal for the first half..Naren,Prem,Ezek,Keerthi all capitalised on meirda's flaws and made their chances count..Special praise to vishnu for thwarting meirda from getting anything from the game by making two brilliant one on one saves..This has been kawabangers biggest victory margin..Basically there werent any flaws except maybe for the fact tt we should make every chance count despite winning by a big margin..Its not gonna be always a stroll in the park..But three cheers to all the boys involved in these marvellous victory..I would love to see the form being translated into the next game which will most likely be next week..this victory would have sent a msg to the other teams to beware of the KawaBangers and we must live to the expectation..So boys job well done and til we bang again..ciaoz.

The management sincerely appologise for this long ,and i mean long, overdue review of the game against Tusser Rangers FC..Let me sum it up briefly..This is one of our strongest performance which never reaped the right result..A 2-2 draw against a team which we should have beaten..But i would like to praise all of u'll for putting a great show..This game welcomed back our long term absentee Raji and as usual he didnt disappoint despite looking a lil short of match fitness..This was a game where Doc's pace was badly missed..Well taken goals from kathi and vijay.Other than keerthi's defensive blip i would safely say it was a flawless game to a great extend..The only setback was the scoreline which defenitely wasnt kind to us despite the lion share of possession..We were rather toothless in attack and Tusser made us pay by taking wad probably was their only two shots on target.Pls pardon me for the delay in this update..

Match Review:

This was yet again to be another mouthwatering contest between two friendly rivals and the game didnt fail to impress.With KawaBanga's star player karthik not starting due to an injury and a couple of key players missing from the team sheet it looked like the turtles had to dig in deep to earn a result against a full strength TLFC.From the starting whistle tackles were flying and mouths were running..Both teams kept it tight at the back and were hesitant to break free..Until TL got their dubious break in the 20th min when the ref allowed play to go on despite our defenders screaming for offside..It sure looked like one but the man in black had the last say..It was a really soft goal to concede and heads were already starting to drop..Was it going to be another Kawabanga collapse..Within minutes justice was served as Vijay was maliciously fouled in the box and the ref had no hesitation in pointing to the spot..And spot on it was as Vijay coolly converted the spotkick to equalise and boosted the morale of the team..The half ended with neither sides capitalising on chances created..Kawabanga morale was good at half time and the boys in green set out onto the field to kill the game and complete the double over TLFC.But the soccer gods had other ideas.With manager Abi Fergusons seat already under fire this season after a few lacklustre performance by the team events after kickoff did him no favour .Within mins after kickoff TLFC capitalised on dinesh's injury as their "star player" Jonathan raced pass the hobbling dinesh and audaciously made the net ripple..Kawabangers all around the areana couldnlt believe it.Abi Ferguson was in despair with the board of directors not looking pleased.Yet again another soft goal conceded and worst still the blow coming at the worst possible time..Morale started to plunge and many wondered whether the kawabangers were gonna be resigned to fate and throw the game away like they have done previously..they pushed hard for the equaliser but to no avail.there were questions has to whether TL were gonna punish the bangers who were surging forward in search of the equaliser..Waves and waves of attack followed but the TL backline stood their ground..And to complicate matters prashant got sent off just as the Bangers were picking up pace and the situation begin to boil over..The ref had accidentally sent off prashant and the shocked midfielder flared up and needed answers.The drama raised questions as to whether the decisions were gonna go against the team..The team was shocked to have lost one man esp trailing 1-0 down and pushing for the equaliser.The lads no longer could afford to play the pressing game and instead had to soak up the pressure.2-1 down and 10 men fightin against a resolute TLFC seeking revenge from their 4-2 defeat earlier this season..It was an uphill task and many would have wrote off the turtles from getting anything out of the game but the kawabangers yet again proved their metal in what the fans feel is one of the comebacks ever.10 men Bangers started gathering momentum and started playing smart football.They couldnt afford to concede another goal which would have the TL fans..The opponents were shell shocked and couldnt believe how they has conceded the goal playing against 10men..With the clock running down and a man down the captain was screaming for everyone to close the game and secure the point but the star of the day had other ideas..There was still room for one last trick up his sleeves..A long pump from keerthi saw Vijay race past the TL defence and clinically volley it pass the hapless keeper.A class act and surely a goal of the season contender.TLFC players went berzerk not knowing what has just hit them..With only a few minutes left this time kawabangers shut the door for good and TLFC had no more gas in them to overturn the result..As the final whistle sounded the kawabangers rejoiced in the hard earned victory and morale in the camp was an all time high.Doing the double against TLFC was by no means an easy feat and the bangers who ran ragged throughout the game still had a bit left in their tanks to savour the sweet victory.Kudos to the TL boys for being good sports and accepting defeat graciously..They definitely felt hard done by the result but the fireworks were blazing at the kawabangers side..Kawabangers have to agree that TLFC are one of the strongest teams they faced and it was a pleasure playing against such talented players..The post match saw a unhappy prashant having a confrontation with the ref but after much controversy all ended well and kawabangers took home a fully derserved 3 points.The post match interview saw the captain congratulate Vijay for his moments of brilliance and sheer class.He also added that that despite the victory there was no room for complacency as the Bangers look to climb up the table and establish them as Division 1 Champions.With CUFC looking like running away with the championship, Captain Prem warned players that performances must be upped and attendance has got to be sustaine in order for the bangers to mount a serious championship challenge.Other than his words of caution the beeming captain hailed his troop for their fighting spirit and hardwork and confidently sent a shout out to the other teams to be beware.Speaking on Manager Abi Ferguson's position the captain declined to comment and said its the boards decision.Pundits feel that the board will give Abi more time to change the teams fortunes after this crucial result.with Guys theres been some changes to the info in the previous post..This week we're playing our favourtite rivals..tts rite we'll be going head on with TLFC for the second time this season having already securing a convincing victory in the previous tie..But this time ard i'm sure they'll be seething with vengeance and we gotta come prepared for the challenge.We gotta prove to them that we didnt win because of fluke or numerical advantage.To prevent a TL backlash i'll be coming with a system which will be disclosed on matchday..But in order for it to work attendance must be good..Doing the double against TLFC will really rejuvenate our season and put us back on track in terms of points..So pls psyche urself for this game and lets kawabang baby..Another thing is that due to the withdrawal of campaign from the league, the game we played at anderson is now void..The team that replaces them is an unknown by the name of East Horizon FC..So after 4 games we have a miserly 4pts which is utter rubbish..losing points against sides which we shud be brushing aside has caused us big time..So this week will see the start of a systemetic approach to games and with the only motive of winning..All players pls understand that time on the pitch will not be based on equality anymore but more on players performance in past weeks and on matchday..Equality will only be given for friendlies and matches that we are winning by atleast a 2goal margin..but i'll try my best to give everyone present enough time to show your worth..So if u have to be subbed out pls dont take it to heart but instead be fired up to come in again to prove urself..Lacklustre performances will not be entertained anymore..lets take our standard to the next level and bag as many points as we can in the upcoming games..Deepavali week will be a layoff for us to eat,thanni and be indians..So the league will most probably commence again the following week..Those who cant committ due to exams pls submit ur absence of leave personally to me asap..I've to apply for player loans from other teams..Ok guys Sunday we Ninja..Cheers..

Team discipline has got to improve

Guys of late the team discipline is on a down...Firstly let me touch on Keerthi's freak sending off..I definitely agree that the ref went crazy to flash the first yellow card but the second yellow was unnecessary.i understand wad keerthi's stand was but when the ref gives a decision its our duty to respect it regardless whether its right or wrong..no point arguing because the ref isnt going to change his mind for u..At most just a small gesture of unhappiness towards is decision is enough..But not to the extend that the ref gets pissed at our team and things starts going against us..Keerthi did nothing wrong by asking for offside but the arguing with the ref could have been avoided..Lets try harder to keep our cool during games..The ref's behaviour was unacceptable but lets look at ourselves first before we point fingers at others..
Another thing is sometimes i feel that comments on the pitch are very negative and that has got to change..The moment we start throwing negative remarks at each other we start losing focus and the team morale generally deteriorates..So in futre i would like to see more encouragement and also positive remarks..For an instance if someone gives u a bad ball pls try to motivate the person by saying "Dae betta ball da.." or if someone misses a man "Dae come on..Harder abit da"..this kinda comments get the team playing betta..The moments words like lousy and vulgarites come out it really spoils the game..pls dont think i'm pointing fingers at anyone but all of us have been guilty of this at some point so lets put in more effort to eradicate this negativity in our game..Also another issue is playing to the whistle and not giving up when u cant reach a ball..Many a times i feel we get carried away and not playing to the whistle.Also when we cant reach a ball lets not turn our back away or just stand still..Try to push harder and give chase..If u just give it already shows ur lack of hunger for victory..So let us all try to put in some effort to make this changes happen..i hope i never upset anyone and if i did i'm sorry because i really feel this issues have to be sorted out..

Match Review:
Boys yet again we've returned with a poor defeat despite a decent display..After losing to Tusser the defeat to CUFC seems belittled..Tusser are definitely not as organised as our previous opponents..The only difference between them and us is they defended well and took their chances..Our defence was in shambles and we seem to often put ourselves into unnecessary pressure.Nevertheless Keerthi did a good job marshalling the defence..But no point pointing fingers at the defenders because the midfield was also guilty of not tracking back to support the defence..Overall i think this game was definitely not up to standard and we got to really buck up for the next one..It was the case of the same problem we always face..Going down early and fighting to make a comeback..Two games in a row this has cost us badly..As we surged forward for goals we forgot our defensive duties and also to keep possession..The only intention of scoring has backfired and this is a lesson to be learnt..Dunman are also in the mould of our previous two opponents..very well organised,good in the air and very physical..So we cannot play the same way we did previously..Just because we've beaten them twice b4 doesnt mean we can be complacent..Remember both games was won single handedly by DOc and also by the odd goal..So lets go into this game with our heads up and a clear mind..

Regarding Training and Team Cohesion

Guys after much consideration i've come to a decision..with the packed schedule that some of us have it difficult to conduct field training because the only time available will be sat morning and that would risk us being lethargic for sunday games.Also field training can be very tedious to organise and conduct..Factors like rain and poor turnout will put us off.So i'm suggesting that we fix friday evening 7pm-10pm and get down to some street soccer action weekly..i understand some may feel street soccer isnt gonna serve the full purpose but i feel that what we need now is to be able to communicate and have fun playing..And wad other betta way is there than street soccer..The passing might improve at the same time..Because court soccer involves lotsa passing..Also friday evening shud see most of us free..Moreover field training will be fruitless if turnout is bad..Whereas court soccer needs only 2-3teams of 4 at the minimum.Court soccer seldom goes wrong.Also all our injured personnel Ganison,Abittu and Anan can join us coz its more recreational..its also cheaper and easier to organise..Anyone is welcome..if u'll are gonna bring ur own friends pls feel free..If we can get this going on a regular basis then i think the team will automatically shape up..The key to a teams success is having fun playing with each other..At times we are so result driven that we tend to forget that soccer is all about having fun..So this kickabout sessions will lighten things amongst us and also over time we'll be able to accomodate each others style of play.So if everyone is up for it we'll commence next friday..The venue will be kolam ayer cc..Its central and also we can book the court so tt we can get maximum playing time amongst overselves..Courts like deyi sometimes can be overcrowded and the light off time is a turnoff.The 7pm timing will cater to the army boys and also those who are schooling..So i expect turnout to be in the range of 12-15 weekly..those who were looking forward to some field training don't worry we'll come up with a system whereby if a game is cancelled because of rain all of us gather at a particular field for some training..In that way we'll have some action every sunday.In this scenario we'll meet up at 10am at the venue which i'll confirm soon..Pls post your comments coz ttz wad matters most..If u're up for this pls do some shouting on the tagboard.

Hi boys, Kathir here. I’ll be heading down to India at the end of the year on a youth expedition project with NIE. We will be going to Yuksam, not too far from Delhi. We will be there to promote eco tourism to that part of India because it’s a beautiful city/town that has been overlooked. We will be upgrading their current greenhouse and be helping them with growing of plants for medicinal purposes. We will also be raising awareness of proper waste management by helping to clean up their river areas etc. We will be self-funding this project and hence we’re selling tee-shirts @ 15 bucks each to raise funds. It’s dri-fit material and although Yuksam maybe be redundant to most of you, I hope you’ll get one to help out a really good cause. I assure you the money goes towards purchasing of materials and equipment for the upgrading and NOT our flight tickets or expenditures.The design is as follows. Guys we've been together for a year now..Its been really wonderful playing as a team..we've grown from strength to strength from our first game at Marina Bay and our muddy times at bradell westlake..Now the issue thats been worrying me for awhile is tt i still believe we have not gelled as team..Individually we've lotsa quality but we often dont perform coz we arent able to understand and compliment each others style of play..The long ball style as gotta change..I guess the lack of understanding amongst us gives us the tendency to pump long balls which always seems like an easy option..But i feel if we can start passing the ball ard and keeping possession our standard will double in no time.We need confidence in our teammates and familiarity.But if we gonna just meet once a week for games theres no way we gonna learn abt each others play and play as team..In order to speed up the whole process i'm thinking of organising kickabout/training either very friday evening or sat morning..This is gonna be the only way we are going to start enjoying playing with each other..Pls give suggestions on which day is betta and wad kinda activity..E.g St wilfred 5-a-side/street soccer/field training/Kickabout at Bishan Park..It may not be weekly but atleast fortnightly..I understand its difficult to commit all the time but i'm sure if we put a lil bit of effort it can be done..It will also help our fitness..SO pls throw your opinions on the tagboard or leave a comment.

Match Review:

Ok boys..For our standards being defeated by CUFC is unacceptable but we have to concede that we didnt deserve to win either..They were really organised and put away chances that came their way..We were messy all over the park..everyone from the defence to the attack lacked the fire for this tie..But i'm sure we'll bounce back against Tusser Rangers to erase this blip..MOM has been given to Rethish for producing few wonderful saves though he clearly isnt a keeper..Anand had a good league debut showing glimpses of his talents throughout the game..And in time to come i'm sure we'll see the best of him once he gets used to us and our style of play..Few negatives tt i wanna highlight..No offence to anyone at all..This review is supposed to make us thiNk and improve not retaliate..Defensively we were shaky in the 2nd half..First half i was very pleased with the defence..we've got to work on the staggered formation in defence..flat four doesnt seem to be working for us coz we are still not comfortable with holding a line..And when a line goes wrong its gonna cost us dearly.The defenders will discuss in future wad stlye they wanna play.For example against fast teams playing a line can backfire.Also its always risky coz some refs can be really cock eyed.against teams like merida i think we can play the offside trap.Beacause they dont have fast attackers.But we must be also able to mix it ard.If we're gonna be predictable opponents are confirm gonna benefit..Midfield as a whole didnt have much bonding this week..I guess going down a goal early we lost our composure and rushed our play to get a goal..And tt cost us as they hit 2 more on the counter.The midfields objective in the next game will be to keep possession and play near passes as much as possible unless u see a clear option to pump.I'll have a more detail talk with u'll about this in the next game .Strikers lacked the cutting edge but i thiNk u guys didnt see much of the ball.And also i always need one striker to play as high as possible so tt the opponents line in deeper.Anyways lets not be disheartened abt this defeat coz i've full confidence that next game we'll be back firing on all cylinders..Ok boys i'll update the details abt the next game asap..Til then have a great week..

It was a well fought victory in the end..A superb second half performance which rounded off a brilliant comeback being down 2-1 at half time..It was looking like there was going to be a repeat of the last encounter with campaign but kudos to the boys for putting the result beyond doubt with well taken goals..Special praise goes to Haaland for rushing down from Bukit Panjang and giving a man of the match performance..esp the outstretched save towards the end of the game which showed true class and ability.thumbs up to vishnu for adding two more goals to his tally...Sivadinho with a strikers instinct finish..Though it was an easy goal, the anticipation and never give up attitude has to be mentioned..Sakthi for getting himself on the scoresheet with a cool spotkick after barren spells thruout last season..Lavin for his much needed energy thruout the second half...The left flank saw a no. of smooth flowing football between ezek and mahendran..Having mahendran back is a big boost to the defence and hopefully he has an injury free season..Pream for keeping his cool despite being pressured often and containing a difficult attacker.Overall the first half performance was woeful but second half brilliance made up for all the first alf slip ups..But some negative points to take note was the midfield centre going AWOL at times which put pressure on the defence when they attacked in numbers..hope this situation will be rectified in future coz if luck and haaland werent on our side we could have conceded more goals..So no place for complacency..Let's work on keeping the shape for the next game..Til then revel in this great victory..lets aim to keep the 100% record in the league going..This season is ours for the takings so we gotta kill every game and chalk up as many pts as possible in the first half of the season.OH damn forgot to mention tt Haaland did get beaten but by our very own Sivakumar with a deft backheader leaving haaland stranded..Excellent finish on the wrong end of the pitch..hehe.Til we meet on sunday..Have a great week boys..

The weather was scorching madness and to add to that we played the entire match with 10 men.Hats off to the 10 men who fought hard against a strong side..Very proud of the fact that we never gave up despite looking like getting raped at one pt of time when they were 3-1 up..I would like to highlight a few positives.Sivakumar showed once again his tenacity which he once was hailed for and won Player of the Month.Kept their attackers well occupied despite being outpaced often.Literally covering up and down the right flank..Doc K for his 2 cool finish and efficient runs throughout the game..Keerthi for covering well as a centre back in the absence of my regulars..Well done.Rethish for playing keeper despite knowing that he's not good at it..The team is proud of u..Made some good saves..Kathi's goal looked audacious and gets a thumbs up.Basically everyone did well and contributed to this hard fought effort.Kudos to catalans for their well taken goals..Overall it was a great match and was a good test for us.For those who never turn up pls try to understand that its beginning to affect team morale..if in future u dont turn up without informing me i will not be calling u for future games..I understand that some of u'll have other committments and i really respect that but pls be courteous to inform me that u cant make it so tt i can make necessary arrangement.Hope the situation doesnt get repeated again..Come on guys lets show more committment and passion!

League ends with yet another defeat

Ok the league has come to an end..Sadly we lost but performance wise i felt the team did well..Have to give it up to their keeper for winning it for them..Lavin opened the scoring for the league and in similar fashion closed the account for the team..It was great to have mahendran back in the left back slot..Despite his lack of fitness the team really felt his presence..Also was gr8 to see Doc back in action after his injury scare few weeks back..And a big hand to rethish for playing goalie despite no prior experience..Now tt the season has ended i'm going to do some reflecting on how to improve the team..Towards the end of the season the team really got sloppy..Both performance and attendance..We really seemed to struggle to score and my No.1 priority for the new season is to get a striker who can really bang in the goals..Other than that the keeper department will be sorted out rest assured..I'll be going on a recruitment drive to get another one or two more players other than the striker and keeper..I feel tt we lost most games due to lack of players and also inability to make our chances count..every often we dominate but end up conceding weak goals..Over the course of next month there'll be 4 friendlies for us to work on our style of play.we need to work on our positional discipline and set pieces and definitely more teamwork.So I really hope all u boys will turn up.I'll arrange tough opponents so we can up our standard.If u'll wanna recommend any players feel free to bring them for the friendlies..For the next season things will be abit more rigid..Playing time will be based on performance and effort..Also latecomers without prior notice will have shorter playing time coz i've to be fair to those who put in effort to come early..I'm working on getting someone senior to manage the team to avoid any biasness and controversy..Being in the league we should understand that the teams performance is above individual opinions..I hope all of u will respect that.Ok guys this was a good learning experience with all of u'll..Looking forward to building from this for next season..We've just been together for less than a year, so let this season be a good stepping stone for us and unleash for max potential next season.Any feedback abt the team or performance or anything for that fact pls pls pls tag on the board.

KawaBanga Red Alert!!Ok listen up lads..The new season commences on 2nd Sept..After some calculations i'm fixing the payment at $90 a person..14 games..I understand some of u'll cant committfully and i've personally quoted u'll a different rate..I know its sounds a lil expensive to pay on the spot but thinK of it in the long term..I need u'll to transfer by SUnday or pass me at the game..The deadline is on Sunday..The last season i worked out an installment scheme to make it easier on u'll..But due to some backing out and delay in payment i've decided to make it simple this time.its also time consuming for me to manually collect from u'll monthly.the organiser is also adamant that we pay the full amt this time..So pls undestand..Those who have any difficulty pls feel free to voice out to me..I'm sure the rest of the team wouldnt mind chipping in for u first..Remember when u transfer pls leave a msg so i can track the transactions..POSB SAVINGS 022-34816-7...We all gotta cooperate so tt the whole process will be easier this time ard..If any of u'll are falling out pls let me know personally..There'll be a few new additions to bolster the squad as some of the games we clearly lost due to poor attendance..So competition will be fiercer and i hope all of u will realise tt u are not guranteed 90mins..Things will be more based on performance rather than the fact of equality.So i hope all of us are man enuf to sit out if we arent playing well..The next season i'm really looking at a top 2 finish so things arent going to be as slack as this season..Any of u'll wanna bring any trialist pls feel free to do so during the 4 friendlies we'll have in aug..Pls voice ur opinions abt this season on the tagboard..Be it good or bad..As a team we dun really have a post match briefing so lets utilise the website to discuss wad went wrong and where we can improve..

Guyz this week will be a rest for u guyz..No game as i hear rumours of partying til dawn after vishnu's bdae.i mite arrange futsal at wilfred..Anyways rest well coz after this weekend we'll be facing Kampong Boys in the league on 17th June..Last week's results have worked in our favour..TLFC lost 4-1 to Kampong..And our main rivals marine devils drew with Dunman High.So now itz in our hands to secure the 3rd place..And if luck favours us we might nick the 2nd place but itz not tt easy.We just need to win 4 outta our remaining 5 games.so guyz i would like to see the attendance back to standard.OK guyz have a gr8 time partying at Vishnu's 21st..And on behalf of Kawabanga FC i wish Vishnuvarthan a happy 21st..

Guyz the vesak day game was solid..Though the opponents werent tt difficult we showed real class and there was positive play all over the park..I wasnt really pleased with the way we conceded 2 soft goals..but credit to my defenders for keeping them quiet for majority of the game..Attacking wise i've got no complains at all..though we did waste a few chances which in other games might have been crucial..Well taken goals by vishnu..scored 2 wonderful goals..Ezeks goal was a good link up play and a gr8 finish..Rethish scoring his first ever kawabanga goal with a dani alves moment..Amrish is giving all u strikers out there a warning..Seconds after shifting to a striker role he tucked in a cool finish with his first touch..Prior to tt amrish pressured the opponents to give away an own goal..well done.Prashant also had a well taken effort..So guyz well done with the excellent display and i hope this game would have given us a morale boost which we can carry into our next game..Ok guyz have a gr8 week..

Hi dudes..Next game is at Turf City Field 1 on thursday @11am..Ok pls try to make ur way there..there's shuttle service from both amk and clementi..msg me for shuttle service timings..If not u can take 74 from amk..Wear Yellow..Of late the attendance has been horrible..I understand most of u'll have valid reasons..But try to inform me abit early so i can make necessary arrangement to get back up..Abt todays game..Was an evenly matched affair..Kamikaze gave us a tough fight..It was good tt the game was clean and there was good sportsmanship behaviour throughout the game from both side.the refereeing was abit disappointing and rest assured u wont be seeing that fella again..Was a good goal by mariachi and defensively though shaky at times we managed to hold them at bay..Special thanks to all those guyz who helped deputise my missing players..Kumarran and his two friends/Zaki/Mathew..I feel we played preety well considering this was a makeshift team..Ezek had a excellent game giving their defenders a nightmare..Ryan showed a safe pair of hands and gave the defence confidence..Overall it was a 50-50 game and we nicked it..Well done guyz.I've decided to put Mathew and Kumarran on standby to join us if the attendance continues being bad.mathew was a classic example of a solid striker.though he didnt get many chances, he created some on his own and fought hard for most of the challenges..Hopefully the next game the turnout will be betta from our players..Have a gr8 week fellas..We'll meet in the next game..

Guyz this weeks game is tentatively against kamikaze at northview sec sat 3pm..wear green..But pls look out for my update tomorrow..The league organiser has given me an option of resuming the league this sunday at eastview sec(beside tampines station) 9am..Against campaign..Can u'll leave comments on the tagboard which one u'll prefer by tuesday evening..I need to make a decision quick..Anyways my msg will reach u'll on wednesday with the confirmed details..Anyways well done for last weeks game..Was a good performance overall..I would like to highlight a few for praise..Mariachi had a excellent game and capped it with a well taken goal..Won every tackle and showed the opponents whos boss..And still had time for some fancy skills..Amrish turned villain to hero..Though he gave away the first goal(probably due to kavin's briyani at northpoint) he showed sweetly how a simple penalty is taken..Did u'll see how he became a child when i called out his name to take the penalty..Also deputising in goal, he made an excellent save which even stevie will be proud of...Siva though ur place is under threat my stevie, the goal was well taken and we hope to see more of tt..I still think u were aiming the top corner..Lavin good goal and a hardworking performance but a point to note is tt at times u were dribbling unnecessarily..(u can holla wadever u want on the tagboard)..Special thanks to Fahan who played excellently at left back..Stuck to his job well..Vishnu, this is the first time i saw u running so fast da..u simply outran their defence at times..we'll love to see more of tt..It was great to have Stevie back though it was only for a game..Though he had very lil to do during the game..guess his presence was a big morale boost to us.And his mazy dribbles has put a big question mark on siva's kawabanga future.guyz lets not get complacent and try to work harder in the oncoming games..Have a gr8 week and to the fans of liverpool...U'll neva walk alone!

Hi guyz the game this week is at northview sec..remember the fake nus team we played..ya same place..3pm..wear yellow..try to find ur way there..Those who wanna meet up be at yishun station by 2.30pm..And if u are not coming let me know atleast by thursday so tt i can make sure we dun end up under strength like last week..Anyways last weeks game was a case of David vs Groliath..We gotta admit tt we were well beaten by a much experienced and brilliant side..I still feel tt if we had ppl like doctor,viknesh,pream and a standard keeper we could have given them a tough fight..Though we gotta agree tt they were betta we gotta rectify our flaws tt were evident in our game..Firstly we let them dictate the pace of the game thruout..Secondly we gave up quite easily in the individual battles(including me)..In future i hope this doesnt happen again..Regardless of the opponents strength we ought to give them a fight..Our team has shown time and time again tt we neva give up til the end..Games like Dunman,Charlie and the Khalsa showed great character on our part and i hope the tradition will be maintained in future games..I've got no complaints against anyone of ur performances as we were all outplayed by them most of the time..But i firmly believe tt if he hadnt given up so easily we could have given them problems..Maybe it was due to the fact tt their brand of football totally demolished us..A few pointers to learn from them..They passed the ball all over the pitch instead of pumping up the ball unnecessarily..Their shielding of the ball was excellent and for a malay team they really chased for all the balls..They had options all over the park and it was nice to see how they attacked as a team instead of individual showings..They were also not afraid to try shots and played ball to feet football.we shud start trying to string passes together and bring the ball up as a team so tt we can defend as a team together.We shud try to emulate some of these points and improve our brand of football..We tend to rush our play by pumping balls and end of losing them..We must try to keep ball for longer..If need to pass back to the defenders..But make sure u make an option to receive the ball back if not amrish is just gonna clear it for safety.the centre backs need to be more confident in receiving passes and playing the ball outta defence instead of clearing them.Viknesh is a gd example.he doesnt rush clearances unless itz an emergency.but at the same time i'm against fancy play when its not needed esp in defence...Dini dat one is for u..my full backs gotta get more involved in the attacks but at the same time not neglecting ur defensive duties..My wingers need to be more productive..Sometimes learn to move to the centre and play ard..We are far too rigid..Esp Siva try to join in the centre when we attack because sometimes u're isolated on the flank and their defender can mark u out easily leaving us with no option to pass to u..Strikers also need to drop more often to give option to build up play..But at the same time make sure u harass their defence even when u dun have the ball..Sakthi stop running away from the ball!!We're playing very predictable football..Either pass to ezek/doc on the flanks and expect some magic or play the obvious thru ball..Sometimes this kinda things become very predictable and experienced teams will kill us off easily..Mariachi and kathi need to communicate betta..Because u guys control the overall play..U guys need to dictate the tempo..Sometimes try to keep ball longer or make simpler passes back to the defence..Rajesh was a good example for slowing down play when needed..Guyz dun think tt i'm always criticising u'll everytime but it felt shitty losing like tt and i dun just want everyone to concede tt they were betta than us and not be affected by the whacking..If we wanted to i believe we could have changed the game..But itz ok guyz it was a good lesson learnt and we need to show we can play good football too..Heads up and lets look forward to a solid performance for the next game.Let our feet do the talking.Take care Boys..

Hi guys..its been a while since i updated the happenings..Well done for both games guyz..3-2 win over galacticos was really gd..but we have to agree tt they are really a good team..If only the pitch was betta they would have given us a harder time..But nevertheless a win is a win so well done..i see tt my strikers have been putting in alot more effort..ttz really encouraging..Secondly the 5-5 draw against the Khalsa veterans was also a good game..Superb hatrick by Ezek..must admit tt proabably at their age we'll be drinking beer under some coffee shop..but guess their experience played a big part in them getting the draw..I was pleased tt despite going down repeatedly we neva gave up fighting and really gave them a torrid time..Guess maricahi's absence was felt in both games but still i see tt the team is gelling more game after game..Looks bright for the future..let's welcome the new siva into the team..try not to give him too much stick la..He's much younger than us..so dun intimidate him too much..Guess he was having a difficult time with opponents much bigger than him but he does have potential which we saw in the galacticos game..Ok i'll keep u'll updated abt the game this week..Probably on saturday...Ok good luck to those having exams..Have a gr8 week guyz..

Guyz this sun the game is at the prefered homeground..Sembawang Sec at 9am..Wear yellow..Pls be there by 8.45am..If u're not coming then lemme noe early...Ok abt last week's game i must say tt the second half performance was solid..If we can keep up tt kinda performance i'm sure we can end the season strongly..The goal we conceded was a rather weak one..We cant blame the keeper completely..It was just a mix of bad luck and lack of concentration..Other than that i was quite pleased with the defence as u'll managed to hold them well esp in the 1st half..El mariachi had an excellent performance sticking to his role well..Doctor looked tired after his taiwan trip but nevertheless contributed well with a slick assist for lavin's goal..The goal was well taken by hollowman..I was quite delighted to see our second half display mainly because we were pressing them and containing them in their own half..And we we holding the ball for much longer than usual which gave the defence sufficient time to cut out their attacks..I can see the strikers have been putting in more effort and well done but remember guyz TL is our jinx team and we gotta set things rite this time ard.So no complacency...Come on our second half display against charlie should be good enuf to beat TL..
I've been noticing tt we often start the game at a slack pace which has cost us a few games..I need u'll to kill the game as early as possible..So against TL i need the urgency to kick in as soon as the whistle sounds..Though we could have won charlie, i'm happy with a point because they were no pushovers..From losing 5-1 to this game was a much improved performance..So guyz i'll see u'll there at 8.45am on sunday..Those who still havent made the payment pls do so asap..Ok have a gr8 weekend guyz..

Lads coming sun we're facing charlie fc at canberra sec 9am..Wear ur yellow kit and blue shorts..I wanna see everyone changed by 9am latest..So u decide wad time u wanna get there..Firstly on last week's game..i've mixed comments abt it..Well done strikers for putting in the goals but we all know tt the charlie defence isnt gonna be as easy so dun be complacent...I need u'll to prove ur worth esp in this game where we desperately need to win to finish in the top 3..Ok overall it was a gd performance by the team but conceding 4 goals to tt team was unacceptable..A big pat on valliapan's back for doing a gr8 job in marshalling the defence and helping in maintaining the teams cool when necessary..I would like to highlight Viknesh's recent strongwilled and hardworking performance and urge the rest of u'll to followsuit..Siva i need u to raise ur game to the level tt was earning u nathan's player of the month..Come on i know u can do it...Sakthi congrats on breaking the duck and hopefully u can become a crouch..lavin n vish well done on the well taken goals.kathi n karthik i can see some kinda partnership forming there.Ezek had a gd game as usual.Amrish is just chao keng(ok just kidding)..Something i would like to highlight is tt we shud perserve to keep our cool..I understand tt the opponents were asking for trouble but come on guys let's not show we are a typical tamilan team..I wanna see the fire in the performance..I'm not saying tt u cant lose ur cool..tts fine and it happens everywhere but let's try to not let it take over us..tt said i'm sorry tt many of u had to compromise playing time due to the abundance of players..but this is a friendly so i hope u'll will understand tt i have to try give everyone a runout..OK now as for this week we know charlie's standard and we gotta raise our game and avenge the whopping the handed us...This week's game pls note tt for the sake of the team and the nature of the game i'm gonna be stringent in substituting ppl..The strongest team will go out and there'll be no free for all substitution as i feel it disturbs the rythmn of the team..So i hope we can all compromise and push for a victory as a team and not complain on why individuals never get enuf time..i demand victory nothing less..Ok ppl rest well and i'll see u at the game..Remember this is a crucial game and pls be responsible esp my keyplayers and come on time k.Alert me early if u cant make it.And btw if u have long comments dun tag it..Leave a comment.Ciao Chin Chow...

Guyz i'm contemplating abt wad to do for this week..Shall we just have futsal @ Wilfrid and some team cohesion or shud we play a match and keep in shape..I need ur opinion latest by Wednesday..Need to book field n stuff..Just indicate in the tagboard or leave a comment..Urgent!!
Ok guyz another issue i want to discuss is abt our lack of goals from the strikers..We all gotta understand tt ultimately our aim is to win games..We're not uncles yet just to come down every sunday morning and play joge joge...Anan made a gd observation that we need a striker who can bang in goals on a regular basis and causes opponents headaches..Strikers dun be unhappy with me because ultimately we have to think of the team..All our goals have come from midfield except contributions from lavin n vish..but it's still not enough..Lemme explain futher..A striker isnt someone who just scores goal..We need u'll to defend from the top..An excellent example is Jonathan from TLFC..U need to constantly just keep disturbing the defence line and keep running all over the place.Lots of off the ball running.Secondly we need someone to hold the ball upfront..Strikers cant just be waiting for the ball to be played to ur feet..Sometimes u gotta come down and play with midfielders to open up play..Some basic one-twos..We also need someone who can cut one or two players and bang it in..Or atleast bang on sight instead of goreng goreng.the reason why we concede so many goals is because we keep losing the ball in the last third very quickly.thats not entirely the strikers fault but i need strikers not only to attack the goal but also to keep possession and bring the team forward..Statistically out of the 20+ goals we've scored only 3 or 4 are by the strikers..Dont think i'm picking on anyone..But I'm getting worried by this statistics..We need to finish as high as possible in the league..If my strikers dun start banging in the goals then i wont hesitate to bring someone in who can do just that..If u wanna shut me up then u know what u shud do..I hope u guyz understand what i'm saying.If u think otherwise just leave a comment.So strikers if u think its a warning then so be it..I want the goals..This is for the team..Kawabanga!!

A week to rest and recuperate

Hi guyz lemme briefly touch on last week's game..It was a poor first half but a good comeback..I still in abit of an hangover after losing to meirda..we didnt have much fire in the first half and when we woke up in the second half it was too late..But well done guyz for not giving up and fighting til the end..A pt against them is unacceptable but i'm delighted with the spirit shown towards the end..The ref was simply fucked up but no point blaming him..We shud look into our own gameplay and try to improve it..Anyway it was the ref who gave us the 2 goals..One wasnt really a back pass and secondly amrish did a inzaghi..So we cant completely say tt we were unlucky..Second half performance was very encouraging and in future games can we start with tt fire in us..We clearly missed doctor but come on guyz its not like we're lousy without him..Of course he's one of our best players but i got faith in all of u'll..Come on we gotta raise our game futher if we're gonna win games against charlie and kampong..I suggest we talk tactics before the games instead of just taking shots for too long..Doctor should be back in the next game and i want us to fire at all cylinders..

Hi dudes..Last week was unfortunate but was a blessing in disguise..The training will do us some good and improve the bond as well..Thanks for showing commitment to attend the training and giving ur all out..Well done..Hopefully we can have more of these in the future..Anyways back to the league..This week we're facing merida who we won 6-2 some time back..But guyz this is a warning from me to u'll to avoid complacency...They've managed a couple of good results of late and will be of high morale..So we have to make sure we dun slack and come out victorious..I would like to see more goals to boost out goal tally..Unfortunately Doc,Vish,Lavin and Rethish wun be ard this week so i expect all the others to turn up..As i said i dun wanna be losing due to poor attendance..This will our first game without doc and will be a gd test to out calibre without him..I've got confidence going into this game and we cant afford to drop points anymore..Oh ya..The game is at CANBERRA SEC..be there early and wear Green guyz..If u cant make it pls inform me atleast by sat so tt i can call reinforcements..Ok guyz last weeks training would have made us closer so communication shudnt be a problem anymore and i would like to see wad we practiced put into play when we meet merida..So let's bang and i mean KAWABANG merida fc..Have a gr8 week guyz..

Hey guys..finally found a solution to the website tt has been down for so long..Some problem with the fc.sg server..So from now on this shall be our new area..This week's game is at Canberra Sec at 9am..Wear yellow and blue..Pls report to the field by 8.30am..Last week was impressive as most of u guyz were there by 8.45am..keep it up..The lil bit of kickabout sure helps us be more prepared mentally and physically..Marine devils look like tough cookies so come mentally prepared and this is a must win game for us if we're going to keep up with the leaders..Regarding last week's game...Was a decent display with good organisation and good spirit..But ppl pls note tt the key setback was tt we failed to hammer in more goals to boost our goal tally..Strikers pls tighten those bootlaces and start banging in the goals..4-1 is really an understatement considering the amount of chanced we had..But other than tt it was a good performance overall..Well taken goal by vish and wad kaboom by doc..well done ezek with the overall hardwork and getting urself a goal...Our new keeper mahesh looks preety solid and ryan can now be used as a utility player..put some pressure on siva..Pls inform me before hand if u cant make it so tt i can find replacement..This part of the season is crucial and i dun want the team to lose due to lack of players..A big thanks to Abi and Anan for coming down for matches to aid the team and act as coaches while we play..It makes a big difference..Ok guyz i'll see u'll on sunday morning at 8.30am..If u dunno how to get there gimme a call..Its 10mins walk from Sembawang MRT..Have a gr8 week ppl..Kawabanga!!
